Born David Holt on March 11, 1981, the Grants Pass, Oregon native moved to Los Angeles at 18 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California. But at the last minute, he decided to forgo the Academy and dive in to life as a working actor.
Success came quickly to David (who took the last name Anders since there was already a David Holt in the actors union) in the form of the evil Julian Sark on the popular series Alias. After four seasons, he moved on to the series Heroes, playing samurai-turned-bad-guy Takezo Kensei.
Because of his flawless accent, both these roles had audiences believing David was British. But, he’s had the chance to use his real accent in the television movie adaptation of Stephen King’s Children of the Corn as well as television series C.S.I., Grey’s Anatomy, Warehouse 13 and The Vampire Diaries.
His film work includes Into the Blue 2 and the cult zombie feature The Revenant.
David is an avid golfer who plays in charity events all over the United States. He also plays music for charity, having participated in The Band From TV, made up of popular celebrities such as Greg Grunberg and Hugh Laurie.
At RingCon 2011, David made a name for himself as a great joker and entertainer, so expect a lot of laughter and fun at Bloody Diaries.
